LD Class Scholarship Fund Drive

Overview:

Finally, there is an opportunity to distinguish once and for all which Leadership Denver Class
is officially “The Best Class Ever!”  This unique program coincides with Leadership Denver’s 35th Anniversary Celebration and will generate crucial funding for scholarships for future generations of Leadership Denver and for other DMCLF Emerging Leader Programs.

Donation  Levels:

Alumni and friends of the Foundation can donate to a scholarship fund.  Donations can be made on behalf of an LD class or as a “Friend of the Foundation”.  Based on total contributions to a class year, classes will be recognized at the event as:

  • “Really Great Class”     $1,250
  • “Super-Duper Class”    $3,000
  • “Pretty Darn Awesome Class”    $5,000
  • “One of the Best Classes Ever”  Over $5,000
  • “Officially THE Best Class Ever”  —This will be awarded to the class with the most donations
  • NOTE: The Class of 2009 is not eligible – but will be recognized as “The Freshest Class Ever”
  • If donations to a class do not reach the minimum level of “Really Great Class”, any individuals who make a donation will be awarded recognition as “Teacher’s Pet”

Recognition:

All Levels:

  • Colored Sticker for name badge with Class Donation Level (Colors vary by donation level)
  • Class recognized on the main event screen
  • Levels and recognition will be updated and posted “LIVE” at the celebration until 7:00pm
  • Announcement made at times through the event to announce changes to class donations levels

“Officially THE BEST Class Ever” — All of the above, plus:

  • All attending class members recognized at the podium during event’s main announcements
  • Champagne toast at podium
  • 1 FREE event ticket for each classmate to the 2009 LAN Fall Forum and Reception
  • Historic Class picture taken on roof of Denver Museum of Nature and Science
    • Photo will be posted on the Foundation website, in the newsletter and a copy will be emailed to each class member

How to Give:

  • Both event ticket purchases and donations may be made online.
  • Your company, a friend or family member may make a donation in the name of your Class Year.
  • Matching fund donations will need to be mailed directly to the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation.  They cannot be handled through Blacktie-Colorado.com.  DMCLF staff will ensure accurate credit is given.
  • Donations will also be accepted at the June 5th, 2009 Anniversary Celebration until 7:00 pm.
