Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation – Leadership Denver 35th Anniversary

Home / About

Graduation '08The Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation (DMCLF) is celebrating its rich past and looking forward to a bright future.  The DMCLF works to promote the development of civic leadership by the business community and fosters opportunities for increased cooperation among the private, public and non-profit sectors.  In doing this, we provide content, context, and network.  Although we are a 501(c)3 independent non-profit organization, we represent a subset of the Chamber’s mission of economic vitality and quality of life. To ensure that quality of life, we must hold the community in trust for the future. Community can mean different things to different people—but our goal is to provide leaders with the content, context and network to enhance our community trusteeship as an enduring part of what they bring as leaders in our region.

We are proud that the leaders in our DMCLF Leadership Alumni Network represent the epitome of this community stewardship, and it is reflected everyday in the way they engage in their professional and civic lives.  We have great power in our alumni network and this year, are excited to be celebrating the 35th Anniversary of Leadership Denver.

  • To recognize and honor the excellence of this premier leadership program, we will be hosting the 35th Anniversary Celebration along with the class graduation next summer.  The date for this event is Friday, June 5, 2009 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.  Please mark your calendars and spread the word.  We are eager to celebrate with friends and family of the Leadership Foundation.
  • For the first time, our organization will be developing an oral history project to mine the stories of alumni and their impact in the community.  These alumni interviews will be featured weekly beginning in January 2009 and will also be highlighted during the 35th Anniversary Celebration.  If you are an alum of Leadership Denver, please be aware that you may be contacted for an interview by a member of the Leadership Denver Class of 2009, a student from the Colorado Leadership Alliance or a member of the DMCLF Board of Directors.
  • Event sponsorships are available on several levels.  Enclosed you will find an overview of sponsorship levels and benefits as well as the appropriate fax back form to make your pledge.  Please consider pledging your sponsorship for the Leadership Denver 35th Anniversary Celebration at a level that is meaningful and significant to you and your organization.
  • As we look forward to the Anniversary Celebration, we are seeking connection with alumni from Leadership Denver or any of our Leadership Foundation programs, with whom we have lost contact.

Board member and committee chair, Leanna Clark (LD ’00) is working with Oral History Project Chair, G.G. Johnston (LD ’06) and numerous committee members to launch this series of activities.

We have great times ahead of us with many opportunities to reflect on our remarkable past but also look towards our bright future.  We hope you will join us for this exciting journey.
